Metal roofing panels are pieces of steel, copper, or aluminum, formed into a specific shape which allows them to interlock and cover your roof. The process begins with loading a coil of metal on top of a roll forming machine, and feeding the metal through a series of rollers. Once the metal has been fed through the series of rollers, a shear cuts the metal to the desired length. Many profiles can be made with roll forming machines, the most popular is “Standing Seam”.
The 1-1/2” standing seam panel is popular due to its timeless look and outstanding durability. Some benefits to our 1-1/2” standing seam panel are:
Architectural detail capability
Shallow slope capable (less than 3”/12”)
Mechanical seam
Good transition between roof and mansard or fascia
UL 580, Class 90
Florida Building Code compliant
ASTM water & air infiltration tested
Dade County tested
ASTM E-1592 tested
